(DC).A project to create a structure for categorizing electronic documents in a similar way to the sorting of library books in a card catalogue.The Dublin Core schema has fifteen field that give all the basic information about an electronic document, including the title, subject, creator, publisher, and date of creation.Describing documents in this way will make it possible to use search engine more effectively.See also XML, RDF, and metadata.
